Elite Care Consulting starts pen pal letter program for seniors living in local communities. This lost letter will uplift and inspire us during these difficult times.
The recent COVID-19 outbreak in our local community have affected us all; however, those living in senior living communities may be facing loneliness on an unprecedented level. A local senior living referral agency Elite Care Consulting http://www.elitecareconsulting.org started a pen pal program to help uplift the spirts of those seniors who may feel isolated and lonely. They received the lost letter from a local 9-year-old named Matthew who wrote such an inspiring pen pal letter. As Owner Meredith Kreis explains, "We received such an outpouring of support from our local community but when I came across this letter I was so personally touched I felt his story needed to be shared so others could be uplifted especially with the challenges our nation is facing!"
His letter was hand delivered to The Fountains at Mill Cove which is a local senior living community to match him up with a pen pal in their community to respond to his letter. His pen pal Chuck was a perfect match as in 2006 he did mission work in the town his family was from in South Africa and had a career as a Chemical Engineer which Matthew was taken back from as he wants to be an Engineer when he grows up. The Fountains at Mill Cove were so moved they have asked about him becoming involved in future activities teaching residents how to build a bird feeder to their residents once it is safe to do so. Matthew will also be presented with a signed football from the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew welcoming him and his family to our city of Jacksonville knowing one of his hobbies is Rugby.
